7 Tips to Help You Blog For Money – Turn Your Blogging Into Cash!

Posted on February 11, 2021 by admin

Do you have a blog that is going nowhere? Do you find yourself spending less and less time blogging because you are discouraged with the results you have had so far? Maybe you want to start a blog and see if you too can blog for money. This article will give you a few tips to get you going again or get you started. But you have to do something too. You have to actually put these things into practice. You have to act on these things before it will do you any good. Focus and complete on these 7 tips before you wander off doing some other project.

Tip #1: Turn off the T.V. and turn down the radio so you can hear yourself think. Now, think about your skills, talents, interests. What do you have a passion about? Have you always wanted to do something but for one reason or another, never go to it? Where do you spend the most of your time – or – where would you like to spend most of your time?

This Tip is to get you to target your blog (or start your blog) with one specific interest in mind. We call this interest a “niche” on the internet. All successful blogs and websites target a specific niche – like a doctor who specializes in one specific area. The more targeted your niche, the higher search ranking you will have in all the search engines. This is the best way to get organic traffic – organic means you don’t have to pay for traffic to your website with the search engines.

Tip #2: If your blog does not have one particular interest or if you still haven’t thought of any particular passion or interest then that tells me you may not be cut out for blogging for money. Successful bloggers who are blogging for money, spend all their time and resources focused on their particular interest (also known as a niche). So if you really do want to learn blogging for money, go back to Tip #1 until you figure out what you want to do or where your talents are. Tip #1 is the most important Tip that all the other Tips rely on.

Tip #3: Congratulations! You have jumped the first hurdle. Now that you know what niche you are going to focus on, start researching. To do that is pretty easy but it takes time and you need to take good notes. Google any keyword relating to your niche. For example; if your niche is ‘Dog Training’ type that in and see what top 5 websites come up. Look inside these websites and see what keywords they used to get ranked high in Google. To do that you can right click, open source document, and in the top 10 lines you’ll see the word “keywords”. After that you’ll see the keywords they have set their website up to target.

“Dog Training” is a very hard keyword to rank high on because it is very competitive, so you need to ‘drill down’ and find less competitive keywords. To do this use the free Google AdWords Tool (you can Google it). After putting your keyword in to be searched, look for the ‘drop down’ where you can activate the CPC (cost per click). Look for keywords that have a low CPC and low competition. Write down all those keywords but only those keywords that specifically relate to your particular niche. Now, Google those keywords and see what competition you have on the first 2 pages. Pick the best 5 keyword phrases (more than one word).

You need to know that keyword research is like housecleaning…it’s never done. You are always checking back revising and expanding your keywords. This is just a start.

Tip #4: Write 30 articles on each of the 5 keyword phrases. Did I lose you there? I didn’t mean to scare you – instead to let you know what your goal is. There are 2 ways you can approach this Tip. You can hire someone to write these articles or you can write them yourself. When you hire someone to write your articles (try Elance.com), you may still have to re-write parts of these articles. The reason is because a lot of the writers who offer this service are from non-English speaking countries. Make sure you find someone who speaks English and writes English well. When you’ve reached your 30 articles per keyword phrase goal, don’t think you are done…you need to continue writing articles. The more articles you write with keywords embedded, the higher you will be ranked in Google.

Tip#5: Make a daily schedule “To Do” list that will keep you organized and you will see you are making progress. Congratulate yourself each time you check off a daily task or complete a very time consuming job. You need to be you own cheerleader. Do not expect others to motivate you or give you pep talks. Also, it’s so important to always look to the “positive” things that you have accomplished and strive forward with new ideas or techniques. Don’t allow negative thoughts to take over your mind. Keep focused on blogging for money by keeping all these steps in mind.

Tip #6: Purchase software tools that will automate your job and help you complete your tasks faster and easier. There are so many out there that promise the world so be careful. I have found one tool that is the best keyword research tool on the internet. It does a lot more than keyword research – too many to list in this article, so you need to check out the video on the website for yourself. I am a member so I know what I’m talking about. You can find the link below.

Tip #7: Do “something” every day. Action is the most important tip because if you do nothing…you know the result. Just visualizing or thinking, or dreaming about it will not make it happen. Make sure you apply Tip #5 with this Tip for they need each other.

Don’t beat yourself up for completing only one or two things a day. It’s the actions you take that are important. Remember you are still going forward toward your goal so praise yourself for all your efforts. When you beat yourself up you will become discourage and the next thought you will have is to “give up”. Make a commitment to at least do one thing a day toward your goal.

It’s important to keep working toward your goal. Learning from others is also a step in the right direction.

I wish you all the best! Happy blogging!
